LWW Blog #4: Jesus

We have now finished reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The author, C.S. Lewis, was a Christian. In class, we talked about how there are many forms of symbolism in the book that relate to our Christian faith. How did you personally notice the story of Jesus being told in LWW? Please include:

  • At least 4 complete sentences
  • Capital letters
  • Punctuation
  • Your first name and number at the end of the post
Don't forget to reply to one classmate's post when you are finished! This should be at least 2-3 complete sentences and apply directly to their post. Be positive and affirming, telling them what you agreed with, and also include anything else you have to say.

  1. Blog LWW: #4 Jesus Life like LWW

It`s the same because Asland comes to Earth like Jesus. He dies and comes backto life too. He saves statues like Jesus saves us. He has lot`s and lot`s of followers. The White Witch has followers like Saten does.

  2. How the story of Jesus is like the story of the lion the witch and the wardrobe
I think that the story of Jesus is like the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe. C.S Lewis wanted the people who read the book to understand that we are all sinners. The White Witch is OBVIOSLY Satan. And Aslan is like Jesus. I can’t even name all of the connections between the bible and the book. C.S Lewis is a clever man to tie in the bible with his story.

  3. How the Bible is like the lion witch and the wardrobe.

Aslan represents Jesus and how he died on the cross for our sins. Peter represents david and how brave he is to fight. C.S Lewis is such a great christian that he would compare the Bible to a book.I think he had graet comparisons to the Bible and the book.

  4. There are many things that happened in the book that happened to Jesus. Aslan comes to save Narnia, Jesus saves the world. Aslan died to save Edmund, Jesus died to save us from our sins. Jesus and Aslan both came back to life. Jesus died on the cross and Aslan died on the stone table.

Lewis did great job taking Jesus's story and putting it to Aslan form. Also the white witch ment Satin and that they're tricking people to sin.

Edmond is like Judas because he betrais his family. lucy and susan are sweet caring angels and they are forgiving and from the bible woman thet saw Jesus rise from his tomb and Susan and Lucy saw Aslan come back to life. Mr. tummnus was a sinner.

  11. Aslan and Jesus
Aslan and Jesus are very alike. They are both the compassionate and forgiving characters in the Bible and the book Narnia. They both died to save others. Aslan is a big hero in the book and Jesus is a big hero in my life. Wow I loved LWW but my favorite character was definatly Aslan because he saved lots of people, just like Jesus. Jesus is my favorite in are world.
I LOVE ASLAN AND JESUS. Olivia #12

  12. The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe has a lot of similarities to the Bible. For one the White Witch is like Satan and Aslan is like Jesus. Turkish delight is sin because it tempts you to want more and more Turkish delight. That makes Edmund a sinner because he ate Turkish delight. Narnia is like the world because it’s full of good people, bad people and sin just like Earth. The stone table represents the cross Jesus was crucified on. So that is a few ways the Bible is like the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.

  13. “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” has some similarities to Christ’s story. The White Witch represents Satan and his evilness. Aslan gave his life for Edmund just like Christ gave his life for us. The stone table is like the cross that Jesus died on and the curtain in the temple because Aslan is killed on it and it later splits in half. Aslan comes back to life and defeats the White Witch just like Jesus defeated death by rising from the dead. These are a few of the many similarities.

  14. There are many symbolism in the book LWW. I think one is that the Stone Table showes the cross. Aslan showes Jesus because he died to save people. Sons of Adam is the boys and the Daughters of Eve are Grils.

  15. I sall Jesus’s story being told a lot through this book, like; When spring was in Narnia, I thought it as Jesus’s birth and when aslan came to Narnia I sall it as Jesus coming back to earth. The part that really stuck out to me as being a sign of Jesus, is when aslan stepped up to die for Edmund on the stone table, as Jesus died for us on the cross. This book also predicted the futer a little bit, like when the battle Aslan and the white witch happened I thought as when God and sateen battle when God comes back to earth to make it perfect!

  18. Aslan represents Jesus. The stone table represents the cross. The white witch represents satan. Deeper magic represents the bible.

  19. Deep magic helps the witch kill her enemies. She gets to kill all the traitors which anyone that changes from good to evil or evil to good. Deeper magic helps Aslan outsmart the white witch by taking the place of the traitor. In the book Edmund is the traitor.

  20. There are some similarities between this book and Christ’s life. Aslan gave his life for Edmund just like Jesus gave his life for us. The stone table represents the cross that Jesus died on and it broke in half which also represents the curtain in the temple which ripped in half soon after Jesus died. The White Witch represents Satan and his evil ways. The ogre shaved Aslan and hurt him badly just like the soldiers hurt Jesus before he died. Aslan came back to life just like Jesus did.

  21. C.S. Lewis was a christian and so he asociaded the Bible with some of his books. Aslan is like Jesus, saving people(or creatures)from the devil. Who is the devil? That is the White Witch. She represents satan. Aslan died on the stone table, just like Jesus died on the cross. The stone table broke just like the curtain in the temple. Aslan arose from his death like how Jesus died and arose on the third day. Alan saved the creatures from the witch taking over just like Jesus saved us from our sins. This is what C.S. lewis wanted his readers to know.

  22. Blog entry #4- Jesus

I think Aslan stands for Jesus because he saved everyone from the White Witch. And the White Witch stands for Satan because she is very bad just like Satan. Aslan is good. White Witch is bad.

  23. Aslan
Aslan is a powerful lion. He is destined to destroy all evil, and that includes the white witch. Aslan represents Jesus in the real world. He plays a huge part in this book, as a king, as a sacrifices, as a savior

  24. LWW Similarities
In this book, Aslan represents Jesus and the White Witch represents the devil. Everyone in this book represents someone in our lives. The book some times recalls moments in the past. When Lucy and Susan were walking with Aslan through the woods to the stone table, it was like when the disciples were walking with Jesus through the garden of Gethsemane. When Aslan was sacrificed, it was like when Jesus was sacrificed on the cross. When the stone table cracked, it was like when the curtain of the temple tore in two when Jesus died.

  25. Symbolizing
In the book the Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe, it relates to the bible because Aslan is Jesus, & the White Witch is Satan. Edmund is us because we sin & Turkish Delight is temptation cause it tempts us to follow Satan. The beavers represents our friends and they try not to let us follow Satan.
