LWW Blog #2: Aslan

Aslan is one of the most important characters in our book. Who is he? What does he do? Think about symbolism, and who or what he might represent in our world. Write at least 4 complete sentences telling us about him.

Don't forget to include:
  • Punctuation
  • Capital letters
  • Check your spelling in Microsoft Word!
  • Sign your name at the bottom: first name, then number.

In the beginning of this book I thought it was great then I thought it was sad when they got to Mr. Tumnus’ cave (or home). Then I thought it was scary when they went through the woods through a different route so the White Witch wouldn’t find them. Then I thought it was a happy feeling when Lucy got back to the spare room through the wardrobe. Last I thought it was sad when the rest of the children thought she was lying and didn’t believe her.

  5. Who is aslan?
Aslan is the main hero in the book the lion the witch and the wardrobe. He is sort of like God in our world. He represents God by showing his love for us by dying and then coming back to life. Aslan died for Edmund as Jesus died for us. He made a HUGE sacrifice for us. Aslan has stopped the White Witch (AKA Satan) several times. He is their protector, just like God is ours. Aslan is mostly like God.

Aslan is the king of Narnia. He is a lion. He represents God. He died for Edmund but came back alive. His brothers and sisters were as happy as a bunny getting a carrot when Edmund came back. He also helped a poor stone rabbit. He is an enemy to the white witch. The white witch is like my bunny trying to guard his cage so people can’t touch it . Aslan is everyone’s hero!

  7. 1. Who is Aslan? Aslan is a lion he is the rightful king of Narnia. He is the one that took his life for Edmund but instead the White Witch didn’t know about deeper magic.
    2. What/Who does he represent? Aslan represents god and how he took his one and only son to die for us. That’s what Aslan did for Edmund and now the White Witch lied for the agreement between them two and she is now going to kill Edmund. Not anymore Aslan is making all of the witches stone soldiers back into life for Aslan.
    3. What does Aslan do? Aslan turns all of his men back to life they are no longer the White Witches stone statues.

  8. I think Aslan is the True King of Narnia. He is powerful, dangerous (but good), fierce, saving, warrior lion. I believe that he will bring spring and peace back to Narnia and put a end to the White Witches evil ways. To me Aslan represents the lord are God, coming back to earth putting a end to sin(Satin)! Aslans power and mightiness is like Gods. Aslan watches over Narnia like God watches out for us!!

  9. Aslan is…
Aslan is might, powerful, fierce and controlling. Aslan is a loin and he is big strong. He is who everyone in Narnia loves and they know he could beat the White Witch. He represents our God. He is our Lord in a different form. I think that when Aslan comes to Narnia the White Witch’s spell will be broken, the spell is that in Narnia it is always winter and never Christmas. He will win everything and be the King.

  13. Deep magic and deeper magic.
Deep magic is more of white witch. It is If there is a trader you can kill them if you want. Deeper magic is Aslan’s . It is if you are dead and if the stone table brakes you come back to life.

So you want to know about Aslan huh? Aslan is a lion but the king of Narnia. I think Aslan is a nice but fierce lion. Aslan I think will help them but he might be a little cranky though.
What does Aslan do? Well that’s an easy question. Aslan turns winter into spring and makes it warm in Narnia. Also Aslan can turn stone statues back into creatures that the White Witch had turned to stone.
Who or what he might represent in our world? Well that’s another easy question. Aslan might represent Jesus or God because Aslan is strong and powerful. He is mighty and a little magical. He is brave too. Just like God and Jesus. And that’s how I answered your questions and that’s how I think of him in our world

We learned that Aslan is very strong and brave. He helps lots of people. In our world he is known as God. I love Aslan and I love God, they are both my favorite in the book and in real life. In the book Aslan was so powerful he saved many peoples lives, he even saved people that got turned into statues by the mean White Witch. He was so carring to other people I love Aslan.

Aslan is a great, great king and he is the true king. Also he is really powerful. I’m guessing he will defeat the witch eventually. I also think he will turn it from winter to spring. I think he represents Jesus and that he died on the cross to save us from our sins. He also represents God because he is so powerful.

So you want to know who Aslan is. There is only one condition, that is there is no condition, because I have to do this for school, it’s not that I like typing, I have to do it for sch--- aaannnyways I will tell you who Aslan is, what he symbolizes and what he does in the book. He is a very important person, I mean lion. Oh you didn’t know that he is a lion, well he is. A very important lion that is. If you have read the book you would understand that he symbolizes Jesus. If you haven’t read it I will explain. In the book he dies on a stone table, just like Jesus died on the cross. In the bible Jesus dyed for our sins, in the book Aslan died to save Edmund from getting killed and from all the people that got turned to stone from being stone for forever. Catching on? Hope so. He also defeated the Witch, just like God will defeat Satan some day. As I said very important.

  18. Aslan represents Jesus because they both died for something or someone. Aslan died on the stone table & the stone table represents the cross. Anyway Aslan is a great lion & Narnia needs him so then he can rule Narnia not the White Witch. Megan#18

I think that Aslan is a nice but fierce loin. He has bright yellow fur and a huge main. I think he will defeat the Witch so Narnia can be free! He will free the stone people. Aslan represents God because God saved us from our sins.

  26. Blog entry #1: mood
How has the mood changed throughout the book? Well at the beginning of the book it was really kind of sad because they had to move away from their family to a place that they’ve never been, and were they left their parents behind was really dangerous. Then it got kind of happy when Lucy went into the wardrobe, but when the faun she had met (Mr. Tumnus) told her that he worked to kidnap humans for the White Witch it got really sad. When he let her go it was like “yes he really is a good faun.’’ When Edmund got in and met the White Witch it was really confusing because when he met her she seemed really nice but when Lucy met Mr.Tumnus he told her that she was awful. It was very sad when they saw Mr.tumnus’s door was knocked down because he tried to do something good by saving Lucy but instead he got kidnapped. From there on it was really happy when: they met the beavers and they told them they were going to meet Aslan, but then right then and there it turned from great to horrible when Edmund betrayed them. Now is the part that truly stays happy for a while, from when father Christmas came and gave them their gifts, to when they met Aslan. I have to admit there were a few scary parts. When the wolf came and attacked Susan, but then Peter saved her so it wasn’t a big deal. The saddest part of the book is about to happen. Aslan, yes Aslan, died. The Witch defeated him. Before you get all teary eyed something good is going to happen. He arose. And then, and then, and then (oh sorry I’m starting to sound like 5 year old) he saved all the statues(I told you it would be happy). Wait it gets happier, he killed the witch and her army. See it did get happy. And then the kids were king and queens over Narnia. The mood changed a lot but it seemed to end up happy.
